Objective

Independently work as an operational/project accountant for BHI-Petronas Alliance which is also being part of the Project Management Team. Also to be involved with budgeting, statutory accounting and assisting South East Asia (SEA) Finance Manager as a business partner to operation.

Key responsibilities / accountabilities

• Independently manage the project financial for BHI-Petronas Alliance. This includes project cost, budgets and also statement of contribution on cost and oil sharing agreement governed by the Oil Field Service Agreement. Must be able to clearly distinguish between project/alliance versus BHI objective
• Performed monthly close tasks for the project as well as producing standard monthly reporting. Quarterly review of the project financials which includes impairment, revision of depletion base and also profitability and movement of the Project Management Team. Monthly project updates to Houston counter-part is also required
• Country Accounting Center Lead for statutory matters for countries within SEA which covers audit, compliance, local GAAP issues, variance analysis and liaising with BHI Shared Service (Enterprise Finance Organization). There will be 4 direct reports that resides remotely in Bangkok, Thailand to assists on statutory tasks
• Assist SEA Finance Manager in annual and quarterly budgeting for SEA Area
• Proactively perform analysis and contribute creative ideas in cost saving measures for SEA Area to help steer the right direction as part of the role being a business partner to operation   

Profile & Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years external audit experience coupled with at least 5 years in accounting role in an Oil & Gas company
• Ability to prepare full set accounts and technically sound in accounting
• Well verse in audit, compliance and GAAP
• Experienced in budgeting and forecasting
• Project Accounting experience
• Advance user in Excel, SAP and Hyperion
