About the Client Client is an oil and gas major who is recruiting Management Accountants on a 6-month third party contract basis for their Shared Services division which caters to the Middle East and Africa/European operations. The job is on shift timings Middle East Shift: Sunday to Thursday 12:30pm to 9:30pm Europe and Africa Shift: Monday to Friday 12:30pm to 9:30pm with 1 week in the month during closing period it is 4pm to 1am. Opportunity offers valuable exposure to work with a leading global firm for their international operations. There is no travel requirement. Job Description The Management Accountant, General Accounting is responsible for the timely preparation of accurate financial accounts for business segments. The position reports to the segment regional lead. Successful Management Accountants are pro-active, self-motivated and eager to acquire knowledge. They are service oriented and have strong interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills. They are good team players who work well under pressure and are willing to work non-standard shift hours if necessary. Responsibilities  Prepares financial analysis and reports for review, to assist decision-making and planning.  Prepares, reconciles and reviews balance sheet notes, including sub systems, and participates in follow-up actions.  Prepares monthly forecasts for profit and loss accounts.  Prepares and analyses profit and loss accounts including reviews of revenue and cost transactions.  Controls and prepares general ledger entries including pre-payments, accruals, and allocations.  Provides profit and loss analysis for bid planning purposes.  Meets deadlines, and ensures quality of deliverables to ensure KPI objectives are met.  Participates in ad hoc reporting, analysis and projects. Qualifications  Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, MICPA, CIMA).  Minimum three years’ experience in external audit or general accounting. Compensation Remuneration ranges from RM 4000 (2-3 years) to RM 8000 (8-10 year) per month plus shift allowance.
